If you happen to find a place that will do vinyls (with the clear background to hold letters in place perhaps?) I would like to know! I have been meaning to look into these as well but just haven’t gotten to it…sigh…

i’ve done some scouring online, and have a few places to call tomorrow. i’ll for sure let you know if something pans out.

but the big question… should clementine (yes, that’s it’s name) stay orange, or go a sparkly black?

That is a good question! Orange if you are doing a resto. and black if you are customizing. Will you be getting new decals made?

I think so… I’m really torn, maybe I’ll keep the frame orange and do everything else black. I might get new decals too, or I might leave it with none.

So the only place that’s called me back so far is Byers Bush in Mississauga. I talked to Brian, who was super nice and very helpful. He said the average price for sandblasting and powder coating in a normal colour (black, etc.) is about $175. He also said they can do pretty much any kind of crazy colour I want.

My only concern is that they don’t do gas tanks, which is something I never thought of, but I guess a lot of places don’t do them. I really liked him, if I can’t find somewhere else as good that will do the tank as well, I’ll probably take it there.

Why in the world would they not do a tank? Its a key part. Its like a garage not doing oil changes.
