No link … to this.
We are starting a small but growing moped crew in High Park/Junction neighbourhood. One rider at a time. Started with a ‘75 Cady, then picked up a 70 Moby, then added 79 Vespa Grande, our latest rider is sporting a mid-70s Gitane. We have a few other hold outs riders on the sidelines looking for the right machine to come along. Anybody out there selling anything interesting. Preferably a Hercules, Puch or Peugeot.
Quite interesting to know that there is a moped club in canada. Just read through your trip logs in your blogspot and finally landed here. We too have a riding club here in Kerala (India) and have a passion for Royal enfield motorcycles.
I’m glad to hear there’s some more moped activity going on in Toronto… I’ve just had no time for my bikes at all lately.
I have a couple Garelli’s I could be convinced to part with. If you’re set on a Puch, I’ve got a nice Maxi frame but you’ll have to find all the other bits.
I’d love to see the Gitane, you don’t see many of those around!
Well that was a difficult summer for most people between rain and real life some of us just did not have it happening. I asked Ryan (person who put the Kijiji ad in Hamilton) if he is going to give a club a go and he said nope because he sold his moped and got a kawi 100 to drive in the dirt.
High Park crew, I have a 2002 Tomos LX for sale. Yellow with black/gold graphics, gold tone aluminium wheels, stock engine, oil injector removed, Bi-turbo pipe, carb jetted for TO area and vented airbox. $600 firm. This moped has 1100 klms on it and is like brand new. Clutches have been checked and reed valve checked. Speed the way it sits is about 60kph.
Got a pic of that John? Email it to me (lindsay@royalcanadianmopeds.com) and I’ll post it for you. You have access to start posts though, let me know if you need me to resend the info.
