2010 Toronto Moped Meet #01!Posted by: IRONfist in for sale, moped, mopeds, rally, ride, scooter, scootersGood day everyone! Looks like this season is shaping up to be prime moped riding weather so get your machines tuned up!! In the near future I may have a few mopeds and/or moped parts to sell or trade, will keep you all informed. So far the consensus is we will meet the first weekend in May at Ashbridges bay park on the saturday and at Davisville park on the sunday. (*IMPORTANT NOTE*: the signs in Davisville park DO NOT read as Davisville but as someone’s name) Thats May 1st and 2nd, starting the meet at 11:00am each day and, so we have time to do trades or sales, starting the ride about 2:30 or 3:30 and riding until whenever! Please mark it on your calendars!! For the ride it looks like I will need a loaner if anyone attending is willing. I have my own helmet and license, just need a machine to ride as mine is still a work in progress. I have no issue buying gas and 2 stroke oil! If you will be attending and have a plated loaner I can use please let me know!! If you have any input feel free to write me!! Ride hard, Seize soft Allan Julia Robertson will be riding a vintage Honda Cub scooter from Toronto, Ontario to St. Anthony, Newfoundland in July 2010 as a fund raising trip for Plan Canada and Because I am a Girl! Here is a guy from France who has been all over Europe on a moped… this past summer he ventured all over Canada on his trusty 50cc Mobylette, crossing the country and even heading up to the arctic circle… Dont know how to embed media so you just have to follow the link to see the crazy Mobylette driver from France. It’s been way too long since we’ve gotten together. Anyone interested in a little pub night to catch up in person? Well here is how the Raleigh was shipped to me via GreyHound. Might be a good thing to keep in mind if there is a moped you really really really want but it is in a far far away place in the Great White North. Disassembled into 5 easy pieces - two wheels, two boxed and a frame - $88 from Calgary to Eastern Ontario - have to bubble wrap some parts so they do not get accidentally banged around - also good to have a manual so you can get all of the pieces back together again. So… I had a spell of laziness and neglected to pay the web hosting bill. Subsequently the site went down. Anyway I fixed it all up today and we’re back in business! Might even make it a bit prettier one of these days as well…… So what’s new? Nice winter for riding. Any good stories? New bikes? Bueller? |
